OUR VALUES:

This core values describes who we are, what we do, and how we do it. It reflects our Core Values of Accountability, Compassion, Teamwork, Collaboration, Hope, Integrity, and Innovation. Abbreviated as โ€œACT CHIIโ€, which serve as a foundation for all that we do.

  1. Accountability:ย We are accountable for our decisions, actions, and resources received to support children and communities that benefit from our services. We are committed to employing best practices in our management and operations, pursuing excellence in all we do. We hold ourselves accountable to our supporters, our staff, our donors, and those we serve and seek input from them to help us improve our activities and procedures.
  2. Compassion:ย We consider all people as one family in humanity, and in the same spirit, we stand to empathize with and demonstrate our solidarity and humility to those in hardship or need. We desire to relieve human suffering in times of crisis, disaster, and conflict. We seek out people who are the most vulnerable, come alongside them, and offer practical support through relief and rehabilitation initiatives.

OUR OBJECTIVES:

Our objectives and strategic are:

  • To create awareness on the rights of children and youth, particularly as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child.
  • Child Rights Monitoring: Regularly monitor, research, document and report on the specific situation of children and compliance with National, International standards and advocate for corrective action.
  • Advocacy: Engage in strategic litigation and advocacy on matters that promote children rights.
  • Child Participation: Promote children active participation in matters that concern them.
  • Social Welfare and Services: engage in programs that promote the survival and development of children through family and community empowerment.
  • Public education: Conduct public awareness campaign and civic education on all issues that promote the protection of children rights in South Sudan.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Train and strengthen skills of children services providers in related area of knowledge gaps and capacity needs.
  • Child Protection: Provide free legal support, legal counseling services and protection of children and mothers affected by abuse, conflict, violence and exploitation
  • To improve water, hygiene, and sanitation (WASH) activities in communities, schools, public areas, and healthcare facilities and raise awareness about the importance of a clean environment (SDG# 6).
  • To provide quality healthcare and nutrition service through strengthening health systems and leveraging on the Boma Health Initiatives (BHI) (SDG# 3).
  • To work with the government and the community to promote access to quality education for all children and ensure that every child can achieve in school (SDG# 4).
  • To enhance access to food security and livelihood activities in the community to reduce extreme hunger and improve nutrition (SDG# 2).
  • To protect vulnerable members of the community, particularly women and children, and raise awareness about the negative impact of gender-based violence [GBV] and child trafficking (SDG# 5).
  • To promote peaceful coexistence among the communities for sustainable development and strengthen the effective engagement of community members in peacebuilding, human rights, and child protection (SDG# 16).
  • To promote access to sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) awareness through health education, screening, and treatment of the prevailing health conditions (SDG).
