Our Vision
Eye the Children envisions a world where every child, including girls, can learn, lead, and enjoy the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.
Our Story & Legal Status
Eye the Children was founded in 2016 in response to outbreaks of violence and the influx of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and unaccompanied displaced children in South Sudan.
We are formally registered in the Republic of South Sudan with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) as a national organization under Chapter 3, Section 10 of the NGOs Act, 2016, and we are an active member of the South Sudan NGO Forum.
Our Work
We believe every child deserves a future because every child deserves a childhood. We work for the future of children, their families, and communities to ensure that every child grows up healthy, happy, and safe.
By building better lives for families and partnering with communities and governments, we help young people realize their full potential and make a positive difference in the world. At Eye the Children, we take children—and their futures—seriously.
Our Diversity Commitment
We believe in securing the right person for the job regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, or identity. Eye the Children strives to share ideas and resources tailored to the development needs of the South Sudanese people. In all our endeavors, we are dedicated to providing equal opportunities to disadvantaged groups across our areas of operation.
Humanitarian Core Principles
As a humanitarian organization, our operations are strictly guided by the four pillars of international humanitarian action:
Humanity: We address human suffering wherever it is found, protecting life, preserving health, and upholding human dignity.
Neutrality: We do not take sides in armed conflicts or engage in political, racial, religious, or ideological controversies.
Impartiality: Our assistance is guided solely by need, prioritizing the most urgent cases of distress without discrimination.
Operational Independence: We maintain autonomy in our humanitarian operations, independent of political, economic, military, or other external objectives.
